How important are wood flooring reviews, not people but products. One year ago if asked this question our quick response, “of course have the seen our Houzz Page, we have over 30.” Today we point towards our A+ rating first before anything else, the rest can be counterfeit.

So when we see large companies not playing by the rules we get upset, but we have discovered a new low. Purchasing flooring reviews and likes while completely suppressing actual customer reviews. Big deal? Search engines use reviews to rank your inquiry.
How do the purchase reviews?
Not in name, but through a third party ‘management’ company who orchestrates the entire social media search charade. Ask them for a local review, a happy client who might share a photo perhaps? Clover Lea pine floors from Lumber Liquidators has a 4.5 star review, nonsense. Do your research but ask questions locally, do not rely on the public relations firm of a billion dollar company repairing a terrible reputation for dishonest practices.
Price important component of Investment

Investment flooring is all about “One House, One Floor” and stopping homeowner equity from turning into shareholder equity. Search Engine optimization, or SEO, the process by which a business ranks on search engines. However, the process has been hijacked as reviews and likes can manifest by the hundreds or thousands (see Clover Lea) which cheats the ranking system. Furthermore competitors to Google reviews which cannot be purchased and are double validated.

We were about to put laminate flooring in my home to save money. I was led to believe that laminate is a wood product – a cost effective alternative to expensive real wood. We now know the flooring business can be very deceptive.
I want to thank Jason for his tireless blogging about the truth about laminate flooring & the actual harm this fake – NOT WOOD – product causes the environment. We have no idea! We decided to purchase the prefinished heart pine floors from the Bayou Rustics line, it just arrived today, and we could not be more pleased! It is beautiful! They the natural look that we wanted and were thrilled that we were going to have wide planks in long lengths but were surprised that they are actually all long…seriously, all the boards were 10’ & 12’ long…all of them! We thought the only width in our budget was 5” which seems to be a standard…these floors are 7” wide!
As soon as we install, we will be sending pictures, but I wanted to send this thank you right away. Thank you, Jason, for educating us and saving us from making a terrible, regrettable mistake. Thank you Heather for insisting that your prefinished floors be above and beyond what’s out there now, especially for those of us on a budget and I can’t say enough about your great customer service from beginning to delivery…oh, and the price was amazing.
