Mill Run aka Character grade Heart Pine

Mil Run Heart Pine does not fit into standard grade, and it is only available every six weeks or so. July 1st, 2022. We currently have 8400 square feet available for pick up or shipping from Reidsville, NC, Premiere finishing and coating. Customers may purchase unfinished or have us finish their floors based on personal style or budget.

Custom finishes

Using our 1×8 Mill Run Heart Pine we have our finish partner apply green options such as Monocoat and high traffic solutions such as Bona. Do you hate the bevel? No problem, keep the edges straight and the ends too if want all 12′ boards. We can explain the process in 10 minutes and save you so much money, you might find it “too good to be true”. Create a custom Heart Pine floor at half the cost of local floors, if you can find comparable, as in 12′ boards and 7″ width.

Mill run comparable to Euro White Oak

Examining Character / Euro grade White Oak helps explain the grade and why the grade exist. With a Euro or Character grade white oak as both ignore a characteristic that would normally cause a #1 to grade as #2, for example. Why is this done? You add length with lower prices compared to the #1 common White Oak and quality compared to the #2 common. Our 1×8 Mill Run Heart Pine does the same thing using higher graded boards, C & better plus Heart Pine. Small defects to a small portion of board may exist to capture the 12′ length. All Mill Run is 1x8x12′, kiln dried, tongue and groove, straight edges and ends; all boards are planned smooth and barefoot ready with relief grooves for stability.

December 2022, 7600 square feet available, 1 x 8 (3/4 x 6 6/7) t/g with ends matched and a micro-bevel. Our 12′ boards are sorted and nestled into 10′ bundles with average over 8′. The finish? An UV aluminum oxide Bona coating is applied to our flooring which has a 25-year residential warranty and a 5-year commercial warranty. Finished with multiple sealers and scratch resistant topcoats which are blended and applied at Premiere Finishing in Reidsville, North Carolina.
